NATURAL PEST CONTROL FOR HOUSE PLANTS

This safe pest treatment for houseplants combines products that you probably already have around your house; vegetable oil, alcohol and organic dish detergent.
  1. Dip a Q-Tip in alcohol to spot treat and eliminate mealybugs on houseplants.
  2. To control whiteflies, aphids and spider mites, add 1 tablespoon of natural or organic dish detergent to 1 cup of vegetable oil.  Add 1-2 teaspoons of the dish detergent and oil mixture to one cup of water and place in a clean hand sprayer or mister. Shake well and spray on both sides of the plant's leaves. Let dry before watering.
