OWN ROOT ROSES
We have our expanded own-root rose growing program! We are now offering, on our website and at our farm, a wide selection of hardy, own root roses available in economical 1 gallon containers. About own root roses:
- Own root roses are ideal for gardeners in USDA hardiness zones 6 and below, but also flourish in warmer regions of the country.
- Own root roses are are prized for their high disease resistance and heat tolerance.
- Own root roses are not grafted, but rather are grown on their 'own root', which for cold weather gardeners means no more worrying about frozen graft joints, or if your prized rose will come back after a hard winter.
- Own root roses live a longer life than grafted roses, typically 70+ years in the garden.
New own root rose varieties this year include:
- Pink Home Run Rose - WOW!
- Fourth of July Climbing Rose
- Cape Diamond Rose
- Living Easy Rose
- Hot Cocoa Rose
PS - Check back later this spring, as we are adding several dozen more own root roses to our rose growing program.
