With its  rich black foliage, Black Lace Elderberry has the texture of a delicate Japanese Maple  but with superior hardiness, and it is deer resistant! In the fall this versatile shrub is covered with burgundy-red elderberries that  are perfect for making wine, jelly, jams or just leaving as is to give the local winter birds a nutritious snack.

Black Lace Elderberry grows to 6' high by 5' wide, but you can keep this versatile shrub any size you like by trimming back hard in the spring.
